The Honourable Lewis Clifton MLA OBE
Lewis Clifton OBE was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Camp constituency in December 2025. He previously served as an MLA from 1985 to 1989 and again from 1997 to 2001.
Lewis holds the Emergency Services and Island Security portfolio and is Deputy for Corporate Services.
A born Falkland Islander with family roots dating back to the 1880s, originating from London, King's Lynn, Somerset and Norway, Lewis was educated in Stanley. He began his career at age 15 with the British Antarctic Survey before joining the Falkland Islands Government, where he rose to become London Representative and was responsible for establishing Falkland House.
Lewis holds a postgraduate qualification from the London School of Economics and conducted international relations research at City University. He has over 35 years' experience in Falklands private sector development, working in the marine environment, including oil and gas supply chain delivery. He is the retiring chair of the Rural Business Association.
