Born in the UK on the 13th October 1979. Married to Cathy Pollard nee Jacobsen.
The son of a Royal Marine who served in the Falkland Islands and a Falkland Islander. Mark moved to the Islands in 1985 and apart from studying abroad has lived in the Islands ever since.
Apart from a brief stint working for FIG at the Fisheries Department, Mark has worked in telecommunications for the last 17 years in various engineering roles.
His interests consists pretty much of all things Falklands. Whether that is photographing the beautiful landscapes, reading about the Islands history or discussing Falklands’ politics.
